Other DCR Beaches: Revere Beach
The nation's first public beach
The Department of Conservation
and Recreation also maintains a number of other beaches in the
metropolitan Boston area. Revere Beach, for example, located just north of
Winthrop, recently received a major beach renourishment in addition to the
restoration of its historic shelters and bandstand. Restorations and
improvements at Nantasket Beach in Hull have helped to make this beach
once again a popular destination.
Access: There is limited
parking available along the street. The beach is also accessible via
public transportation. Take the MBTA Blue Line to Revere Beach or
Wonderland Stations and walk across the street to the beach.
