Dorchester Beaches: Savin Hill / Malibu Beaches

The new promenade at Savin Hill
offers access along the beach

Savin Hill and Malibu Beaches serve the Savin Hill/Dorchester neighborhoods and surrounding communities. Substantial upgrades include a new ADA-compliant promenade along the beach, providing superb views of the Harbor and access to a wide section of the waterfront. A new playground, new sand, new lighting and additional landscaping add to the atmosphere at these beaches. Owned and operated by the Department of Conservation and Recreation.

Access: The beaches have a small parking lot able to hold 50 cars. The area is also accessible via public transportation by taking the MBTA Red Line to the Savin Hill Station and walking for about ten minutes through Savin Hill Park to the beaches.
